Atharva Anand Mahajan
PhD - JRF
From the vibrant city of dreams, where aspirations soar high, I, Atharva Anand Mahajan, am on a quest to fulfill my dream of becoming a researcher. As a PhD student in the lab, I bring my experiences from completing my Masters at the esteemed University of Mysore and venturing from IISc. It feels like coming home as I find myself back in the same lab where I conducted my Masters dissertation.
Currently, my research focuses on unraveling the mysteries of nutrient sensing during hematopoiesis, using the versatile Drosophila model system. Alongside my academic pursuits, I actively engage as a Student Council Member, honing my management and communication skills to complement my scientific endeavors.
Beyond the lab bench, I find joy in the camaraderie of sports like cricket, football, and badminton. I cherish moments of relaxation by indulging in series marathons, embarking on treks to explore nature's wonders, and embracing the thrill of discovering new corners of our world.
